advantage of our My Reservations service, we will ask for
more of your personal information when you register, such
as date of birth, gender, the route you most commonly
travel, the purpose of your trip and so on, together with
details of the credit/debit card holder. This will allow
frequent travellers with us to save time during the
reservation process by us pre-completing certain fields.
You will also be able to review reservations that you have
made with us and the same reservation information will be
available to our telephone support staff to allow them to
assist you with any queries you may have. We will also use
this information for profiling purposes to allow us to
deliver a more effective and targeted service to you, the
passenger.
We also log other
information like your IP address and pages visited for
security and statistical analysis. This information is not
linked to your browser session ID as stored by cookies nor
is it individually identifiable. For more information on

We may provide your
personal information to organisations directly involved in
the update and/or maintenance of the web site, including

Use of our website
In order to purchase
our products and services using the payment method
displayed on our website, you must be 16 years of age or
over. By using the site you confirm that you possess the
legal authority to enter into the conditions of use for
this site, including instructing us to collect any
payments from a credit or debit card, and to use this site
in accordance with all its terms and conditions. You
confirm that all information supplied by you in using this

Unlawful or
prohibited use of our website
As a condition of your
use of our services, you agree that you will not use this
web site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by
these terms and conditions.
Booking terms and
conditions
1. If travelling with
thandicoaches.com the choice of coaches are limited and
pre-determined. For details see the Timetables section of
the website.
2. You must be over 16
years of age to purchase the products and services on our
website.
3. Customers cannot
amend or cancel a reservation once payment is received and
you have been allocated an e ticket. No payment or
further credit will be made to the customer, all unused
credit will be forfeited. It is the customers
responsibility to ensure they have entered all fields
correctly, and the chosen times, dates and number of
people travelling are correct before making a payment via
the Barclaycard gateway .
4. Bookings are only
valid on the journey(s) and places stated.
5. A maximum of one
child under 3 years old may travel with each fare-paying
adult for free on thandicoaches.com. However children
travelling for free are not guaranteed a seat unless a
seat has been purchased for them and a reservation number
is provided. They may not use seats if fare paying
passengers want them. All children aged 3 and over must
pay the advertised rates per seat as applicable.
6. It is recommended
all children under the age of 14 years should be
accompanied by an adult (16 years of age or over) when
travelling on thandicoaches.com. If children below 14 are
travelling unsupervised then please make the driver aware
when the boarding the coach and seat the children in the
seats most nearest to the driver.
7. Passengers are
required to present a valid reference number, provided at
the time of booking, when boarding one of our services
entering/departing any of our pick up points. Any
passengers who have not presented a valid booking
reference number, either through a SMS text message or e
ticket print out will be denied boarding the coach or
travelling any further than the spot check point.
8. Concession
passengers travelling on thandicoaches.com who have booked
concession seats must present their Entitlement card when
boarding the bus, or when asked to be produced.
9. If we have reason
to suspect fraudulent use of a confirmation, transfer to a
different person, or other abuse, we reserve the right to
refuse you travel on our service(s). No refund will be
made in relation to any confirmation refused due to
fraudulent use. No further liability will be held with
Thandi Coaches for any passengers denied boarding.
10. Passengers are
required to be at their departure point at least 10
minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, This allows
passengers to board in a timely manner avoiding any delays
that may impact on the departure of the service.
11. When your
reservation has been completed we will issue you with a
confirmation e-mail. It is your responsibility to check
that the confirmation issued to you is accurate. We are
only responsible for issuing the confirmation in line with
your request made on the website.
12. Passengers are
advised that Thandi Coaches will accept up to one piece of
luggage per passenger. For guidance this should be no more
than the size of a standard suitcase. Passengers can also
take on board one piece of hand luggage up to the size of
a small to medium sized hold-all. Luggage will be carried
on thandicoaches.com in accordance with our accompanied
articles policy found in the National Conditions of
Carriage.
13. Our services are
unable to carry animals, with the exception of guide dogs.
14. Thandi Coaches
school bus passes and affiliated company staff passes are
not valid for travel on our services.
15. thandicoaches.com
tickets are for standard class travel only, and no
upgrades are available.
16. Seat reservations
are not permitted unless pre booked by phone or on the
website, but we will do our best to provide all customers
with a seat for their journey that arrive to buy tickets
on a stand by basis.
17. It is your
responsibility to check that the confirmation issued via
the website or phone matches your request, and is
accurate.
18. If the coach you
are booked on is cancelled, you may travel only on the
next coach provided by the carrier, or you may have a full
refund of the fare (and the booking fee). If you decide
not to travel for any other reason, you may apply for a
refund, (subject to an administration charge of £5.00 per
booking) by writing to:

19. Bookings with us
may not be refunded except where we have materially failed
in their delivery of the service offered by this site.
Insurance
Insurance is purchased
by the carrier in accordance with our legal
responsibility. All legal liabilities to third parties,
not to include damage to property, are covered. We are not
liable for any loss or damage caused to your luggage.
Pricing
Our seats start from
as little as £4, we will vary it's pricing according to
demand and will offer it's best prices to those who book
early or to those who book on the less popular journeys.
However all journeys will remain competitively priced
offering excellent value for money.
A single reservation
fee maybe charged for all our reservations, this will be
shown on the booking page if charged. This fee is charged
to cover bank and administration charges related to your
reservation.
Bookings made by
telephone will be charged at the same rate we charge for
tickets issued by our driver on a stand by basis. These
bookings will benefit from guaranteed seats on our
coaches. Bookings made on the internet will be at lower
fares subject to availability, including the booking fee,
if applicable. Calls to the reservation line are charged
at the standard rate from landlines. Calls from mobile
phones may vary, according to your service provider.
Customers may choose
to have their reservation number sent to their mobile
phone as a SMS text message. Text messages are charged at
10p per message/reservation, this fee is charged to cover
text message and related administration costs related to
your order.

Failure or delay by us
to enforce an obligation or exercise a right under these
terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver of that
obligation or right.
If any provision or
term of these terms and conditions shall become or be
declared illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason
whatsoever, such term or provision shall be divisible from
the other terms and conditions and shall be deemed to be
deleted from them.
We may alter these
terms and conditions from time to time and post the new
version on our website, following which all use of our
website will be governed by that version. It is your
responsibility to check the terms and conditions on the
website regularly and prior to booking.
Terms & Conditions of Private Hire
1. Applications
These conditions apply to the private hire of
transport, not operating as a package, as a defined by
Package travel, package holidays and package tour
regulations 1992.
These conditions apply whether a contract has
been made verbally or in writing. The hirer acts on behalf
of all the passengers travelling on the vehicle/s. The hirer
is responsible for the actions and decisions of all
passengers.
2. Quotations
Quotations are given on the basis of the most
direct route. The route will be at the discretion of the
company unless it has been particularly specified by the
hirer, in which case it will be clearly shown on the
confirmation. All quotations are given subject to the
company having available a suitable vehicle at the time the
hirer accepts the quotation. Quotations are valid for 28
days unless otherwise notified.
3. Bookings
All bookings must be made in writing by the
hirer either by fax,e-mail or post.
4.
Use of Vehicle
The hirer cannot assume use of the vehicle
between outward and return journeys, nor to remain at the
destination for the hirer’s use unless this has been agreed
with the company in advance.
5. Route &
Time Variations
The company reserves the right to levy
additional charges for mileage or time other than that
agreed. The vehicle will depart at times agreed by the
hirer, and it is the responsibility of the hirer to account
for all passengers at those times.
6.
Drivers Hours
The hours of operation for the driver are
regulated by law and the hirer accepts the responsibility of
ensuring the hire keeps to the hours and times agreed by the
company. Neither the hirer nor any passengers shall delay or
otherwise interrupt the journey in such a way that the
driver is at risk of breaching regulations relating to
driving hours and duty time.
7. Seating
Capacity
The company will specify the legal seating
capacity of the vehicle. The hirer must not load the vehicle
beyond this capacity.
8. Conveyance
of Animals
No animals (except guide or hearing dogs
notified to the company in advance) may be carried without
prior written agreement from the company.
9.
Confirmation
Written confirmation by the company is the
only basis for the acceptance of a hiring of or a subsequent
alteration to its terms.
10. Payment
Payment is required at the time of booking.
Lynx Solutions Ltd T/A Thandi Coaches will then produce
written confirmation of the details regarding the booking,
either by email or fax. Such payment is strictly
non-refundable except in the circumstances where Lynx
Solutions Ltd T/A Thandi Coaches, due to causes beyond its
control, has to cancel the booking. The company reserves the
right to add 2% compound interest per calendar month, after
the date by which payment should have been made.
11. Cancellation by Hirer
Customers are entitled to cancel by e-mail or
fax. Cancellations must be made at least 15 days before the
time of travel. A cancellation charge will be made by the
company of £150.00 or 25% of the quoted price, whichever is
the greater.
12. Cancellation by
the company
In the event of any emergency, riot, civil
commotion, strike, lockout, stoppage or restraint of labour
or the happening of any event over which the company has no
control (including adverse weather and road conditions) or
in the event of the hirer taking any action to vary agreed
conditions unilaterally, the company may return all money
paid and without further or other liability, cancel the
contract. The company will have no further liability.
13. Vehicle to be provided
a. The company reserve the right to provide a
larger vehicle than that specified at no additional charge
unless any extra seats are used.
b. The company reserves the right to
substitute other vehicles of similar quality (including
those of other operators) for all or part of the hiring.
14. Breakdown
and Delays
The company gives advice on journey time in
good faith. However, as a result of breakdown or traffic
congestion, or other events beyond the reasonable control of
the company, journeys may take longer than predicted and the
company will not be liable for any loss suffered by the
hirer as a result.
15. Agency
Arrangements
Where the company hires-in vehicles from
other operators at the request of the hirer and where the
company arranges ancillary facilities such as meals,
accommodation, ferries, admission tickets or any other
services provided by another supplier, it does so as agent
for and on behalf of the hirer. Any terms and conditions
imposed by such other suppliers shall be binding on the
hirer.
16. Package Travel Regulations
If the hirer organises other elements of a
package in addition to the provision of transport, the hirer
may be defined as an ‘organiser’ or a ‘retailer’ for the
purposes of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package
Tours Regulations 1992 and as such may be required to comply
with the provisions of those Regulations. The hirer accepts
responsibility for ensuring whether they are so defined, and
the company cannot accept liability for loss or damage
incurred that should have been the responsibility of the
hirer if the hirer was the legally defined organiser or
retailer. Where the company acts as an organiser or
retailer, it will issue separate conditions of trading
relating to its liabilities and responsibilities under the
Regulations.
17. Passengers’ Property
a. All vehicles hired by the company are
subject to restrictions on carrying luggage for statutory
safety reasons. The hirer accepts that the driver shall be
the sole judge as to whether and to what extent passengers’
property is carried.
b. The company accepts any personal property
of the hirer and their passengers on the understanding that
it will take all reasonable steps to avoid loss or damage.
the hirer should notify the company or the driver if items
of exceptional value are to be carried on the vehicle. It is
the hirers responsibility to minimise risk of loss when
property is left unattended.
c. All personal belongings are carried at the
owners risk and the company accept no responsibility
whatsoever for any loss or damage.
d. Lost property will be held at the
company’s premises and is subject to the Public-Service
Vehicle (lost property) Regulations for 30 days.
18. Conduct of Passengers
a. The on-board staff are responsible for the
safety of the vehicle at all times and may remove any
passenger whose behaviour prejudices safety or is in breach
of the Public Service Vehicle (conduct of drivers,
inspectors, conductors and passengers) Regulations 1990. The
hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by
any passengers for the duration of the hire.
b. Where the hire is to a sporting event, the
hirer should be aware of the legal requirements relating to
alcohol, contained in the Sporting Events (control of
Alcohol) Act 1985, and the conditions of entry to racecourse
as laid down by the Race Course Association Ltd.
19. Complaints
In the event of a complaint, the hirer should
seek a solution at the time by asking for assistance from
the on-board staff or from the company. If this has not
provided a remedy, complaints should be submitted in writing
within 14 days of the termination of the hire.
20. Notices
No bill, poster or notice is to be displayed
on any vehicle without the consent of the company.
21. Refreshments &
Alcoholic Drinks
Only food & beverages provided by the company
may be consumed on the vehicle without prior written consent
from the company. Alcohol is strictly not allowed on any
vehicle.
22.
Surcharges
Providing there are 10 days prior to the
departure date, the company reserves the right to pass on
increases in the cost of fuel, taxes imposed by the
Governments of the UK and of other countries to be visited
during the journey, road tolls, and foreign currency. No
surcharges will be levied within 30 days of departure. On
notification of such surcharges, the hirer may cancel the
booking subject to the scale of cancellation charges shown
in paragraph 10. The liability of the company will be
limited to the cost of the hire and any ancillary services
supplied. |
